zk-SNARK stands for Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-interactive Argument of Knowledge. It's a cryptographic proof system that allows one party (the prover) to prove to another (the verifier) that a certain statement is true, without revealing any information about the statement itself, and without any back-and-forth interaction between the prover and verifier.
